Summary:
SinglePoint is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer II to design and execute test plans and procedures for wireless applications. The QA Engineer II is responsible for performing basic and complex software testing functions, including performance, load, and bug testing. The QA Engineer II is responsible for creating and maintaining test environments in addition to creating test cases, scripts, and test plans.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Major elements include:
- Creating and maintaining test environments
- Creation of functional and performance test documentation incorporating high level analysis, specific use cases, and failure thresholds
- Performing functional, destructive, acceptance, performance, and bug testing
- Other duties may be assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of testing experience – telecommunication, IT environments, wireless industry and/or messaging services background preferred
- Excellent knowledge of testing methodologies
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Passionate and motivated self starter that excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment requiring only limited supervision
- Strong, professional customer relation skills
- Good logic and troubleshooting skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, work efficiently involving multiple cross functional groups from sales and account management to operations and engineering
- Ability to negotiate and prioritize conflicting incoming requests while considering timelines and limited resources
- Moderate proficiency with SQL (MySQL, SQL Server, and ANTs preferred)
- Knowledge of functionality and use of XML/SOAP based Web Services API
- Knowledge of SMS, MMS, and WAP system infrastructures and associated protocols like SMPP, SMTP, MM4, MM7, and WAP preferred
- An acute eye for detail, a passion for games, and the ability to see problem solving as totally fun
