Summary of Functions:
This position requires a candidate possessing thorough familiarity with C++ and objected-oriented programming, including the C++ Standard Template Library. The candidate should be familiar with network environment, especially Web and XML protocols and implementations, and should have an understanding of how disparate systems can interact across the network. Must have excellent communications skills, oral and written.
Some SQL Server expertise is also required, including the ability to interact with a database programmatically, and some experience in formulating efficient data queries, transformations and updates. Database design and data warehouse experience is a plus.
The successful candidate will write and maintain specifications, application documentation and scalable applications, to support SinglePoint's product line interacting with internal and external systems.
Candidate Qualifications:
Required knowledge and skills:
- Strong experience with C++, XML; some C#
- Working knowledge of SQLServer and developing database applications
- Working knowledge of database design concepts
- Familiarity with multi-threaded programming and applications
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, and Visual C++
- Primary experience on Windows and Windows Server platforms, some familiarity with Linux
- 3 or more years experience in softwaredevelopment
- Some data warehouse experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, and carry a project to completion
- Experience with the nominal range of professional developer tools
- Great attitude & sense of humor
- A broad range of developer experience, and a broad range of developer interests is desired
- BS in Math or Computer Science, or very-related work experience preferred
