Overhead Projector Format
Thank you for choosing the “Overhead Projector” format of the presentation. These files allow you to present Teens, Tobacco & Media using transparencies and an overhead projector.
The links below will open up folders residing on the CD-ROM (or your computer if you copied them over) where you will have access to the PDF files. If the links fail to work, then you can access these folders directly from the CD-ROM.
- Lesson Overviews: This file provides an overview of Teens, Tobacco & Media, including the program's history, updates, and a brief introduction to each of the five lessons, as well as hints for the teacher or adult mentor to help the teen presenter navigate through the lessons. An introduction to media literacy is also provided.
- Presentation: Use these files for your presentation. They are divided by lesson and saved as PDF files. They will have to be printed on overhead transparencies.
- Handouts: Handouts are needed for Lessons 1, 2, and 5. The handouts are divided by lesson, and provided as individual PDF files.
- Tobacco Ads: Over 40 tobacco ads are provided in color in single PDF files. The ads are used for the activities in Lessons 2 and 3.
- Extras: This file contains the “Teen Tobacco Prevention Resource Guide,” which lists teen anti-tobacco groups throughout Washington, and the “EALRs Chart,” (Essential Academic Learning Requirements).
- Video: Don't forget your accompanying VHS videotape.
